Design Concept
The main design concept was to tell the story of the site and to continue the existing pedestrian space.
Atlanta threw off her shackles and took a step toward freedom. The sculpture is a symbol of freedom from bondage and self-awakening. It represents a moment of freedom from the three great constraints of life: the body is free, the shackles of the feet are torn; Social freedom, free from imposed socio-historical shackles, symbolized by the rope torn from the heart; Inner freedom, victory over ego and personal limitations - reflected in the shackles of the destroyed shoulder-cardiopulmonary area. The entire sculpture is made of bronze.
